Fraudulent ads being handed to Brighton Residents

BRIGHTON—It has come to the attention of the Brighton Fire Rescue District that someone is handing out a fraudulent ad to Brighton residents. The ad has “Attention Brighton Residents” at the top in bold underlined letters and has a picture of a fire truck at the bottom. IBHS Provides Guidance to Colorado Residents to Reduce Wildfire Damage

A 3,000 acre wildfire in Colorado on Monday has resulted in at least one fatality, the evacuation of more than 900 homes and the loss of up to 20 homes. FRONT RANGE TO GET HEAVY FIREFIGHTING AIRCRAFT

Lakewood, CO----(March 20, 2012) The Rocky Mountain Area Coordination Center has prepositioned a large air tanker to better respond to the increasing fire danger in eastern Colorado and the Front Range. Brighton Fire Rescue District is holding its First Annual 2- day Citizen’s Fire Academy.

The Citizen’s Fire Academy will be held for two days on May 19th and 20th 2012 and there is not a cost associated with this academy. This academy will not certify you as a firefighter, but it will give you a better understanding of the Fire District and the firefighter’s job and responsibilities. Participants will be taught CPR and first aid, fire safety and prevention, firefighting tactics, and many other related topics. The knowledge you will gain from the classroom will be extensive. This program will not be just a classroom lecture for the two days, but an interactive, hands on, fire academy that will allow participants of our community to experience what firefighters experience every day while serving and protecting their community. ... Trailer fire contained by firefighters

BRIGHTON--On March 13 at 1:43 pm crews responded to the report of a trailer fire at the Eastgate Mobile Home park (3060 E. Bridge St.). The Battalion Chief was on scene at 1:44 pm. Two fire engines and a truck all arrived simultaneously at 1:46 pm. ... Full story
