Rachel’s Challenge comes to Stuart Middle School

BRIGHTON, COLO. – Rachel’s Challenge, an anti-bullying empowerment program, will come to Stuart Middle School Friday, Jan. 18. The program, created by the father and stepmom of Columbine High School shooting victim Rachel Scott, equips students and adults to combat bullying and allay feelings of isolation and despair by creating a culture of kindness and compassion. A series of events is planned including an all-school assembly, a small group student training and an evening community event where students, parents and community members are invited to attend.

 

WHAT:   Rachel’s Challenge Program    

WHEN: Friday, Jan. 18

8 a.m., all-school assembly featuring a certified Rachel’s Challenge presenter

Noon, small-group training where students are taught how to implement what they learned in the assembly inside their school

5:45 p.m., Parents and community members are invited to an hour-long event where they can learn how to be involved with helping change the culture of the school by spreading kindness and compassion.
