Thornton City Hall closed to observe Veteran’s Day

THORNTON, CO… Thornton City Hall will be closed on Monday, November 12, 2012 to observe the Veteran’s Day Holiday. City offices will reopen for normal business hours Tuesday, November 13.

Volunteer to become a Snowbusters

Snowbusters is a program where volunteers help remove snow from the sidewalks and driveways of fixed-income seniors and disable Thornton residents. This service allows these residents receive their mail, prescriptions and Meals on Wheels. Snowbusters have 36 hours after the storms to remove the snow and they are paired with a resident the entire season. Thornton FD Dive Team to respond to crash drill Rescue/recovery exercise to take place in reservoir, Oct. 30

The Parks and Open Space Master Plan establishes goals, objectives, recommendations and implementation strategies for the planning and development of new parks, trails, open space and recreation in the City of Thornton. It serves as a detailed supplement to the Thornton Comprehensive Plan, and as such, it responds to the goals and policies related to parks, recreation and open space stated in the plan.
