Coffee with the Mayor 8:30 a.m. Mon., Jan. 28, Atlanta Bread in the Northglenn Marketplace Coffee with the Mayor is a chance to talk directly with the mayor about issues in the community and to learn about new developments in the city. Northglenn High School Principal Dr. Mary Lindimore will talk about the school’s STEM expansion. Call 303-450-8713 for more information.

 

 

Scrapbooking

1 p.m. Mon., Jan. 28, Northglenn Senior Center, 11801 Community Center Drive

Bring pictures and stories while joining everyone for this ongoing activity in the upcoming year. Scrapbooking supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Yesterado – Stories of Colorado When It Was Young

10 a.m. Thurs., Jan. 31, D.L. Parsons Theatre, 11801 Community Center Drive

This show creates a living, breathing portrait of Colorado when it was still cutting its teeth, featuring stories about con man Soapy Smith, socialite Molly Brown and cyclist Dora Rinehart. Senior Center Festive Friday Series – National Snack Food Month

1 p.m. Fri., Feb. 1, Northglenn Senior Center, 11801 Community Center Drive

As part of the Festive Friday series, celebrate National Snack Food Month with some snack food trivia and of course, snack food samples. Please RSVP at 303-450-8801. For people ages 55 and over.

 

Advanced Care CPR

9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sat., Feb. 2, Northglenn Recreation Center, 11801 Community Center Drive

This course gives you the knowledge and confidence to step forward if needed in an emergency. Certification is issued at the end of the class and fulfills all state, OSHA and Social Services requirements. For people ages 16 and up. Cost is $55 for residents, $60 for non-residents. Night of the Stars Youth Talent Show

7-9 p.m. Fri., Feb. 8, D.L. Parsons Theatre, 11801 Community Center Drive

The community is invited to come watch local youth ages 5 to 18 compete in this talent show, with the winners moving on to the regional competition in March. Cost for tickets is $6 and can be purchased at the Northglenn Recreation Center or at the box office the night of the show.
