City of Commerce City responds to District Attorney’s decision

COMMERCE CITY, COLO. – Commerce City is reviewing the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s statement into the Nov. 24 incident involving the shooting of a dog. The city has authorized an independent administrative review. One of the officers involved in the incident has been placed on administrative leave while the others are not currently on patrol. Commerce City Police Officer (Officer Price) has been charged with a felony for his alleged brutality and killing of a Commerce City dog, "Chloe". The alleged brutality was even caught on tape. While this officer awaits his court session and a possibility of loss of job and imprisonment, the City of Commerce City has not dismissed this officer.
