Public input sought for the future of parks and recreation

COMMUNITY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND MEETINGS, SHARE FEEDBACK COMMERCE CITY, COLO. – Community members are invited to provide input on city recreation facilities and parks that will be built in the near future. Five public input meetings, April 23-27, will discuss new parks, recreation center locations, and amenities in the north as well as enhancements to the existing recreation center. The Quality Community Initiative (QCI), a stakeholder group established in 2011 to identify long-term needs of the city, presented its final recommendations to city council in January, outlining the expansion of new park and recreation facilities as one of the top priorities. These public input meetings aim to gather more specific information about what is needed and where these facilities should go. MEETINGS SCHEDULE:

• Wednesday, April 24 at Belle Creek Family Center (10693 Belle Creek Blvd.) from 6-8 p.m.
