Nominate local youth for Adams County Mayors and Commissioners Youth Award nominations accepted now until March 1, 2013

COMMERCE CITY, COLO. – City staff is seeking nominations for the Adams County Mayors and Commissioners Youth Award (ACMCYA). The ACMCYA is an annual award program that recognizes Adams County teenagers, ages 13 to 19, who have overcome personal adversity and created positive change in their lives.
The ACMCYA is a two-tiered program that honors nominees at a local government and county level. Teenagers can be nominated by anyone including counselors, parents, coaches and teachers. This award encompasses all youth who have overcame different types of adversity and risen above despite their circumstances. The top 20 students in Adams County will be recognized at the county banquet on Friday, April 12 at Riverdale Golf Course.
