Brighton Streets Report -- January 25, 2013

S t r ee t s Street Capital Project  New shop floor has been completed by the contractor and the floor will be sealed next week. The fleet shop operation area will be expanded into this area and Street personnel are in the process of refurbishing and relocating operations to the vacated parks shop area.


Street & Fleet Department
 The Handicap ramp work will be completed over the January 26 weekend at
120th on the west entrance near Prairie View High School. This will complete
the work being made in conjunction with Commerce City and Prairie View
High School for handicap access to the asphalt bike path and the school.
 Street crews are preparing equipment for the demolition of the outdoor
swimming pool in the next couple of weeks.
 All Christmas lighting decorations are being removed from the light poles this
week and next.

Eye for Art Program
 The call for artists is underway with deadline of January 30, for final submittals
for the March 4 – June 21 art show named “Celebrating Mother eARTh 2013.”
 A art dedication and artist reception for the “It’s a Wonderful Life” Art show
will be held February 5, from 5 – 7:30 p.m., at City hall.
