On Wednesday, September 12, the police department held its annual department inspection. Chief Blackhurst began the annual inspection in 1997. All members of the department prepare for the inspection by making sure their equipment is cared for and in excellent working condition.

Subject: Update - Missing Child Located / No Foul Play

On 09-15-2012, at approximately 7:00 am, a family member stated that once the sun came up they found the child’s bicycle in front of a house in a nearby neighborhood. They contacted the homeowner who stated that the missing child was spending the night at their home with their son. The child was returned home safely. Missing 47 year-old male found, deceased in Commerce City

COMMERCE CITY ― On August 15, 2012, at about 3:00 a.m. Commerce City Police Department was notified of a missing 47 year old male that may be suicidal. It was believed the male was in the area of north of E. 120th Ave. and Chambers St. Members of Commerce City Police Department, friends and family were looking for the male continuously since the initial report was received.
