2012 household chemical and electronic waste roundup to be held Sept. 29
Brighton residents can get rid of any unused or leftover chemical products in their home on Sept. 29 at the 2012 Adams County Chemical Roundup
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Thornton IMC Facility, located at
12450 Washington St.. Products such as cleaners, paints, thinners and pesticides
can be a potential danger to you, your family, and the environment. Household
hazardous waste is usually labeled DANGER, WARNING, TOXIC, CAUTION,
POISON, FLAMMABLE, CORROSIVE, or REACTIVE and should be
discarded in a safe manner.
Recycling of electronics will be offered for a small fee. Residents must bring
proof of Brighton residency (utility bill, phone bill, or driver’s license) to
discard of items. A $25 donation is requested to offset the high cost of hazardous
waste disposal.

the year.
