Colorado’s First-of-its-kind program to create new perpetual income for charities while bolstering local businesses and economies

September 21, 2012.  Brighton, Colorado.  Valley Bank & Trust is proud to announce a new partnered business, “Shopology”.  This newest community program has a launch date of October 1st and is set to deliver a first-of-its-kind service that offers “win-win” funding to schools, churches, and charities.   Shopology offers organizations perpetual fundraising that emanates from the everyday credit and debit card purchases of their member/family/friend networks at local and online merchants.

Shopology is a registration process that allows everyone in Colorado a chance to benefit their own schools, churches, and favorite charities with monies that don’t come out of their pockets.  According to Shopology, “the ultimate gift may be remedied by simply telling your supporters to shop where they already do.”

Consumers first securely register their credit or debit card to benefit their favorite organization.  And the rest is easy.  When they shop at over 2,000 major stores (including many locals like Target.com, The Brass Rail, Anthony’s Pizza, and others), a portion of every purchase finds its electronic way back to schools, churches, and charities.

Shopology is “powered by” Rainbow Rewards, the nation’s leading electronic loyalty program since 2004 and  facilitated by the largest credit-financial network.   Valley Bank & Trust President, Donna Petrocco is the Vice President of Shopology’s Board of Directors.   The program is partnered with Valley Bank & Trust and the Gateway News of Adams County.    Over a dozen Colorado charities and schools have already pre-registered with Shopology, including School District 27J Education Foundation, Mapleton Education Foundation, Almost Home, Denver Dumb Friends League, and The Denver Rescue Mission.

Shopology is expected to help local retailers and restaurants by increasing profits from frequency of patronage by both new and existing customers and increasing purchase volumes per transaction.

Shopology is the consummate “buy local” program due to its expected boost to local sales, taxes, and even job creation.  Local charities, schools, and churches can even “benefit locally” when they receive funding from Shopology-registered purchases made elsewhere in the country.

Further information on Shopology can be obtained from your local school, church, or charity;  www.Shopology.net (after October 1st), or your local Valley Bank & Trust.   If you are a merchant or organization you are welcome to call or email Shopology at:  (720) 882-3720 or Shopology@ColoradoBusinessAlliance.com.
